About the NGO Committee on UNICEF
The NGO Committee on UNICEF is a worldwide network of 90 international
NGOs working on behalf of children in over 110 countries.
Currently the NGO Committee is based in New York . Its governing
body, the Global Forum is an elected Board consisting of six international
NGO member organisations and nine regional representatives.
The
international member organisations of the Global Forum are:

The Committee engages in diverse activities that include advocacy
campaigns, publications, and participation in international fora.
The mandate of the NGO Committee is:

To encourage consultation and cooperation among NGOs and facilitate
NGO Coalitions and Networks at all levels.

To work with UNICEF to promote the well-being and rights of
children everywhere

To provide a forum for the substantive discussion about UNICEF
policies and programmes and child-related issues

To support the principles and practices of Child Rights
The NGO Committee on
UNICEF supported these activities and initiatives in New York and
different regions of the world from its own budget. The main source
of income for the Committee is the membership fees. We therefore
request you to renew your membership to the NGO Committee on UNICEF.
We depend on these dues to carry on our work on your behalf, building
organizational capacity, supporting our regions and improving communication
with our membership.
The NGO Committee on UNICEF is not a grant-giving organization and
does not provide funding to individuals, groups, or organizations.
