Consultation and the NGO Committee on UNICEF

The primary function of the NGO Committee is to serve as a voice for NGOs and the rest of civil society to UNICEF. The special consultative status that has been given to the Committee since 1952 has allowed the NGO Committee membership to participate in everything from the early development of UNICEF to the priorities, goals, and strategic planning for UNICEF more than 50 years later.

Throughout the years, UNICEF and each of its Executive Directors have been very supportive and positively vocal about its appreciation for the work of the NGO Committee on UNICEF.

The NGO Committee believes in the work of UNICEF and will continue to be closely involved in its new and ongoing activities to ensure a strong future of continuing success.
