Members of the NGO Committee on UNICEF

The NGO Committee on UNICEF was established in 1952. Today it is a world wide network network of over 80 international NGOs working on behalf of children in more than 138 countries.

The Committee engages in diverse activities that include advocacy campaigns, publications, consultation, and participation in international fora.

The mandate of the NGO Committee is:

  • To encourage consultation and cooperation among NGOs and facilitate NGO Coalitions and Networks at all levels.

  • To work with UNICEF to promote the well-being and rights of children everywhere

  • To provide a forum for the substantive discussion about UNICEF policies and programmes and child-related issues

  • To support the principles and practices of Child Rights
